Understanding Your Exam Results
Congratulations you’ve officially completed the SharePoint Atlanta Collaboration Examination. Now that you’ve taken the test (and hopefully you remembered to write down your result code), you’re probably wondering what’s the scoop of all these different personalities.
Origins Of The Test
As we mentioned before, the concept of this “four type personality test” was developed by the famous Greek scholar Hippocrates in the third century BC. Hippocrates is known as the father of Western medicine, and by studying people he developed a four personality theory that he called the four temperaments. Over the centuries these four temperaments have been utilized in a myriad of studies and tests.
The four temperaments are:
Melancholic – Thoughtful, reserved, and introspective.
Phlegmatic – Loyal, relaxed, cooperative.
Sanguine – People-oriented and Sociable.
Choleric – Leadership traits and confident.
The SharePoint Atlanta Test
Our 20 question test was designed to identify traits of your personality, and then plot them on a graph that has an X and Y axis. The two axes are shown in the diagram below:
As you can see from the graph the vertical y-axis is finding out if your personality tends to be more “open/outgoing” or “closed/reserved.” And then the horizontal x-axis is assessing whether your personality is “indirect/slower-paced” vs. “direct/fast-paced.”
So that helps explain the two axes, but we are now going to focus on the four quadrants of the graph. The illustration below shows the names of the four quadrants, and the corresponding personality codes.
So now is your time to refer to the code that you wrote down after finishing the test! Take a look at the image below and find out where your code/personality lies on the graph.
As you can see from the graph we’ve renamed the personalities to have more modern flair. These names are often used in many of the personality tests that have been developed throughout the psychology community.
