Excellent Examples of Business Teamwork

In the spirit of the collaboration, SharePoint Atlanta has put together this slideshow of great examples of Business Teamwork. The list leans heavily towards the field of technology. Who knows, maybe your company can be one of the next great business innovators.

• Wilbur & Orville Wright

  They were the first to fly, created their own aviation company, started a whole new industry, and turned the world of transportation upside-down.

• Bill Gates & Paul Allen

  Gates and Allen were approached by IBM to create an operating system for their computer. They created the OS, but retained ownership of the software. Eventually PC clone companies made computers more cheaply than IBM, but all these companies used Microsoft’s operating system.

  When they were students at Stanford University, Page and Brin studied the World Wide Web and how pages linked to other pages. They then developed the PageRank algorithm which powered their new search engine ended up organizing the internet.

  A new computer revolution was started in Steve Jobs’ parent’s garage. The creation of the Apple I and the Apple II began expanding computers from just businesses to putting them in people’s homes.

  Harry, Albert, Sam, and Jack Warner started in the movie theater business back in 1903. They purchased a movie projector and then opened their first theatre in Pennsylvania. Eventually they produced movies and created their own studio.
